Red Sails is an annual citywide holiday of Saint-Petersburg graduates, it is a unique event on an international level, a show that has millions of spectaculars. As with tradition, the Celebration was held on the Palace Square and on Vasilievsky Island, where the most outstanding Russian pop stars performed.
Volunteers dressed in red caps and T-shirts, wrote the phrase "Scarlet Sails” on the square and danced with graduates in a youth mass dance that could be in Guinness Book of Records. In culmination of the celebration, the famous sailing ship with red sails passed along the Neva.
The Saint-Petersburg Government in cooperation with the State Kremlin Palace and the Bank “Russia” held this revived celebration for the 8th time.
